The sea and Homer Simpson
Viña del Mar, Chile

From Valparaiso, we hopped on a new train (very modern and clean I must say) 15 minutes along the Coast, to VIÑA DEL MAR (also known as the GARDEN CITY). It is a city beach resort but a great place for Brel to soak his sticky hot body.... as I watched, paranoid that our stuff would disappear if I dared go for a dip.
It's of on the Pacific coast of course and therefore a dangerous sea. But Brel has become a pro and knows how to deal with these crazy waves...

I loved these little houses that seemed to go right in the water-
And sculptures encountered along the way to promote the upcoming Telethon (a huge deal here all over Chile).
Too cool...
And a beautiful view on our walk back to the metro-
Crazy trees encountered along the way (entirely covered in Vines). Really gorgeous. Viña is famous for its beautiful gardens, palm trees, flowers ...
And Brel finally met up with one of his heroes...

Comme il a grandi, ce Brelou. Et toi, la Patsita, no te vemos nunca! Te echo de menos.
Besos grandes grandes,
D sous la neige
