Thought I should start writing a bit every day just to get used to this.

Un peu d'info tous les jours, question de se mettre dans le «beat».

À date, les préparatifs vont bon train. Plein de petits trucs à regler mais on y arrivera, une chose à la fois. Chaque chose en son temps.

Ok, the french/english switch is getting to me. Trying so hard to be even to both languages, by giving them equal input but it definitely becomes too rational, too scientific, too calculated and I can't let go and ramble. Maybe that's a good thing. Or just proof that I'm the perfect example of this french/english «special mix» made à Montréal.

So, for the ANGLOPHONES, here's a good excuse to practice your french
et pour les francophones, un PEU D'ANGLAIS ne vous fera pas de mal (en tout cas, ça ne vous tuera pas)
et en BONUS, un peu d'espagnol pour TOUS

Alors, jusqu'à présent -
LES VACCINS sont réglés (il me manque 2 doses puis c'est fini!)
MATÉRIEL ÉCOLE BREL est prêt
SOUS-LOCATION DE MON APPART (presque ficelé ... cross your fingers everybody). More details, once everything is confirmed and coulé dans le beton.
LA LISTE DES MÉDICAMENTS est prête (just need to buy the stuff!)
ORDONNANCES/PRESCRIPTIONS en main (et oui, antibiotiques contre la diahrée (inévitable au Pérou d'après ce que j'entends) + médicaments contre le SOROCHE (mal de l'altitude) + pillules contre la MALARIA

The $ is set. Well, I mean I know I have it. Still need to pull it out and see how I bring it (10 000 CAN). On a special TRAVELLER'S CARD (like a credit card but different benefits/advantages)? I've been saving A LONG TIME for this. Et oui, il y en a qui rêve de s'acheter une maison, et il y en a d'autres qui se transforment en escargots pour porter leur maison sur le dos en se promenant LENTEMENT ... pendant 5 mois.

I guess this blog will only get exciting on August 6th but until then, for those of you who dream of doing something like this, it will give you insight on all the planning it takes and the little steps taken (for days) to get to this big thing.

Pour tous ceux et celles qui rêvent de faire un grand voyage un jour, les petits textes du prochain mois devraient vous montrer tout ce que ça comprend en terme de planifications et préparations. Ouf, c'est du boulot! Mais on a hâte!!!!!!
